Objectives: 

  • To provide the basic concepts and principles of PR, including the professional , ethical and legal responsibilities of practitioners

Outcomes: 

  • To provide an historical and theoretical foundation for effective public relations practice and explore the practitioner's professional, ethical and legal responsibilities
  • Definition of basic PR concepts and a study of the businesses, people, technologies or events that influenced the PR industry
  • Exploration of the components of an effective public relations strategy template
  • Ability to identify key interest groups and their concerns, develop persuasive communications strategies to reach these audiences, and employ measurable evaluation tools to determine results
