Objectives

  • Discuss the different digital graphic formats, bitmap versus vector graphics, and how these apply graphic formats apply to Adobe Photoshop CS4 software.
  • Gain an understanding of the primary elements of the Photoshop interface including the work area, the toolbox, the application and option bars, menus, and palettes.
  • Learn how to create, retouch, adjust, size, and save Photoshop image files
  • Organize page content into layers and manipulate those layers
  • Apply rulers, grids, and guides to position page content
