Objectives

To provide a review of the historical developments of collective bargaining in Canada as well as related contemporary issues, labour law basics and the evolution and organization of the concept

Outcomes

Ability to identify the bargaining unit and the purpose of collective bargaining
Ability to choose a style of bargaining that fits the situation and apply appropriate legal parameters
Ability to use various bargaining strategies and tactics
Knowledge of how to close a deal
