Application Summary
- Step 1: Before You Apply
- Learn about the Admissions Criteria that includes academic requirements and the computer skills you'll need as well as a study permit. Consult the applicable Program Coordinator on the English language proficiency requirements.
- Step 2: Prepare Forms and Documents
- Begin the Admissions Process by filling out an application form. Complete the application form and prepare the required Documents and References.
- Step 3: Submit Your Application
- Submit an application for admission and all required documents along with the registration deposit and the first tuition installment.
- Step 4: Admission Acceptance
- You will be notified of the admissions decision within 6 - 8 weeks. You will need your acceptance letter to apply for a study permit from the Canadian government. If you sent your study permit application by mail, allow at least three months for it to be processed or 2 - 3 weeks if you applied online.
- Step 5: Final Arrangements
- Your student intake appointment at the University will be scheduled about two weeks before your first class. You will need to finalize payment arrangements for your remaining tuition by this time. You are required to purchase health insurance through the UWDCE Registration Office by the first day of class. If you have completed equivalent courses at another post-secondary educational institution, you may be able to apply transfer credits towards your DCE program. The University provides a number of student services for international students including housing and on-campus health care.
