Objectives: 

  • This course will teach basic principles of design, usability and accessibility as it relates to your web pages
  • The material will cover topics such as colour theory, alignment, visual appeal and layout techniques

Outcomes: 

  • Identify good and bad web design in relation to visual appeal, usability and accessibility
  • Apply basic principles of grid design: contrast, alignment, repetition, proximity (CARP)
  • Understand basic colour theory and know how to use web safe colours
  • Understand typography and the limitations of the Web
  • Understand navigation, information architecture and site maps
