HTML5 is the next version of Hyper Text Markup Language and contains many changes from the previous version; HTML4/XHTML.  In this seminar we will debunk the rumors around HTML5 – talking about the differences from HTML4, coding principles that can be used today, and what features are coming down the pipe.

If you are a web developer or designer who would like to keep your skill set current and marketable, then this is the seminar for you!

Prerequisites

Participants must be able to:

  • create a valid XHTML document;
  • create a valid CSS file; and
  • have working knowledge of JavaScript.

Objectives: 

This seminar will explore the following:

  • A brief overview on the history of HTML
  • Fundamental differences between HTML4 and HTML5
  • Rich media support
  • Web Forms 2.0

Outcomes: 

Upon completion of the seminar each participant will leave with a solid understanding of HTML5 coding practices that can be used today.
