Objectives

  • This course is designed to provide an overview of the culture and history of Aboriginal people in Canada with particular emphasis on Manitoba

Outcomes

  • Participants will gain an understanding of the Aboriginal worldview that has shaped social and organizational development
  • Topics include positive contributions of Aboriginal people, pre-European social structure, and the impact of colonization, treaties, and religion on Aboriginal people
